Mainly I'm glad to know that I can relieve myself behind the stand now.

I agree with the weight estimation issue. Thats why I weight most of mine.

Reminds me of a "guess the weight" on a black bear on here a few years ago…Man,they look like they weigh a ton!

If hunters weighed their 300 lb monsters I think the would be real disappointed in the real weight.

I bought a scale so I would have a more accurate picture of the swine.

I don't agree with the 300 lb statement of the pigs being rare to find, we see them pushing that size all the time on forums.

Thats about right, and I've noticed most weights here are still with guts and all, I weigh all my hogs after dressing out which is the way all contests weigh them. But there are some very large hogs out there.
We were never able to get this one below but he's pretty heavy I think.

Largest I've shot and weighed was a 208-lb boar. My buddy on the lease shot a 262-lb boar on the same place. Those are the only 2 over 200 we shot on 600 ac in La Salle county in 5 years out of probably 300 hogs killed total.

I know other people and me have seen hogs that weighed at least 300+ out at granger lake. Chime in if you have.

If you need further verification yourself , check out the standings in any of the major hog contests, apply some simple math and you will find how rare the 300 pounders really - not hyperbole, no guessimates - let the data speak

Never hunted granger but I killed one 3-4yrs ago that went 318lbs. Have pics on here somewhere including measurements and pics of the scale with him hanging. My next largest was 180lbs.....quite a gap.

I agree that over 300 is rare. I have three over 300 out of a bunch of hogs. I like to see pictures of a hog that someone got then loaded up alone and claims it is 350. Anything close to 200 has me blowing out my guts trying to load up.

I have seen one that I know was over three hundred. He looked like a Shetland pony with short little legs. I was at Double G once when a guy drove buy coming from Granger with a pig that was pretty **** close to 300. They are out there.
