My ex wife told me early on in our relationship that if I was going to hunt she could not be with me. I got the "poor defenceless animal" speech. She decided to stay with me anyway. After she tasted the double battered, double tenderized, axis doe stakes she asked for a bow of her own. She and her new husband hunt all the time now!

I think it's best not to trick people. Ya don't generally win friends by doing it and rarely will anyone admit they were wrong. Sure would **** me off if someone tricked me into eatin tofu or birch bark. Just sayin...

I agree completely. I would also say, though, that if I put out a plate of meat and someone assumes it's not wild game, I don't consider that to be tricking anyone. I don't try to hide the fact that it's wild game and most people who know me know that I'm a hunter. But I also don't feel obligated to put a big red warning sign up, ya know?

I did it actually last night. I smoked up some pig roast and my buddy and his wife came over and she asked what it was and I said it was pig. I thought she knew it was wild and she ate it. About 2 seconds after she ate it one of my friends said that wild pig was great. She didnt get really mad but is now iffy if she will eat here again. She said it was good though
