No rifles, only the stick and string for me.

Dates for my family & highest chance of decent free range red stag opportunities are KEY for this bowhunt thus the final list:
      1. Manuka Point Lodge - best lodge for family. Really great visit with owner.
      2. Kiwi Safaris - good focus on bowhunting, no need for helicopters even for tahr & chamois!
      3. Wilderness Quest -good focus on bowhunting, family focused hunting/touring.
      4. Shane Quinn's Alpine Hunting - lots of great reviews but main camp on North Island, thus cost of travel is more for tahr & chamois.

Oscar, Kiwi is who I hunted with in 06, but it has since changed hands so I do not know about the new owners. had a wonderful time on 06.

I will dig deeper Doug! The brochure does not mention the new ownership. They highlight a hunt in 2006 where the Rick Valdez party took 3 free range trophy bull tahr with bows in 1 day.
