Best route to Port Aransas from D/FW area?

        well we are headed that way on Sunday and I think we are doing the toll to 183 etc. We used to always do the route to San Marcos and then through seguin but I cannt stand Austin even though I have to drive there for work.

          We just did that trip a few weeks ago... I went one way not sure the roads but they were some back country roads from Austin.... but we came back 35 /37. This was way faster at highway speeds...

            Ditto on the tollroad -- Glen introduced me to that wonder around Austin.

            I would take it even if the toll was $100 bucks, just to avoid downtown Austin
