Brunner what side of Victoria are you building? I live off of 622 and have Internet America and they suck. I have had techs and a manager out to my house and they all said the problem was on their tower. They know they have a problem and will not fix it. It will burst with good speed and then drop off to dial up speeds. My service is on the NW side of the KVCT tower off of UMVR. TISD came out and said they had good signal but their start up is pretty high. Dishnetwork internet is not available where I am, I guess the satellite can't see my house.

man, this makes me feel really lucky....we have a great local internet service company in Marble Falls. Blazing fast, and unlimited downloads for 60 bucks a month. They came out and installed a little dish on the barn, and do regular service checks to make sure our service is up to speed.

I even called them once and hung up because I had another call coming in.

They called me back a few minutes later and said they were sorry they missed a call from me

Which package do you have?

I don't quite know since my wife arranged it. I will check into it and let you know. I had renters off of 622 too and they said Internet America was the best for them. They also tried the Hughes net direction with not much luck. I would not go the direct tv route. I had my fill with that.

I am building of FM 2615 guess I am more on the south easy side of town. Gonna check with some neighbors.

My Mom and Dad live off of 2615 and had internet america. They dropped them for the same issues I described. They now have dishnetwork internet and are happy.

I've got Wild Blue thru YKC communications in Ganado.Satelite(sp) but our only other option at the time was HughesNet and the neighbors said it was terrible.We've had good luck.Shoot me a pm and i'll tell you more if you want.

Brunner, Try TISD (Testinger Internet). They are a local company and have great customer service. They have an unlimited streaming package for $79 ( I think, have to check with wife). Way better than Wild Blue or Internet America.

I have 2 Sprint Phones and they work fine out there.
Please keep me up to date with what you decide on your internet, I will need it in the next few months too.
