    Marcus Luttrell Interview

Did anyone else hear the interview that Michael Berry did with Marcus Luttrell yesterday? Listen to it - well worth your time. Marcus seems to be a great guy! Humble as can be. God bless him and our other veterans.

He talks about what it takes to be a SEAL. The drive that he had to keep him going. He started training (his Dad was a huge influence) when he was 12.

He wanted the movie to be about his 3 team mates - he is just here to tell their story.

I liked the part about George Bush calling the house not long after he got out of the hospital. Marcus' mom asked the former president to call back in ten minutes - Marcus was eating lunch - LOL

He also says that his hero is God....followed closely by his twin brother.

I don't know if y'all heard his speech at the NRA convention a few years back in NY. He was acosted in a bar in NY by some foreigner because he had a t-shirt with the Texas flag on it. The story is hiliarous. I don't know what became of charges afterwards, though.

Marcus Luttrell, a fierce, 6-foot-5 rancher's son from Texas and an Iraq soldier superstar shows up late for a gun show speech because of a jail problem the night before ...must see stuff, he tells great stories about Iraq

When I was in college at Sam, I met Marcus a few times. We had some of the same friends. Didn't really know him all that well but the few times I did run into him he was a real cool dude.

I've listened to several interviews through the years and caught Bill O'reilly's interview with him last night.

Plan to watch his coverage movie "LONE SURVIVOR."

These guys deserve everything they can get - post war service!

Yep, and that exposure to him was the first I had of him... to this day, I have a hard time liking the guy because of that stupid show. On reflection, I really guess it was the other guy on the show, Scott Robinson that might have been the catalyst and push for how they acted on it.

No doubt Marcus is indeed a hero for us and someone you'd want your kids to grow up and admire... I wish I'd never seen that TV "hunting" show... I think it was "Wild and Raw" or something like that... and "raw" it was...

I didn't like the hunting show he was on either - after listening to this interview - I can't say enough good stuff about him.
