I'm a land surveyor and while working in the Karnes city area off FM 99 yesterday my dome of my base was stolen .. Figure it was another survey company in the area or some punk a** kids .. The dome alone is 15,000 dollars ... Very ****** off thought about puttin a game cam up to watch my base from now on ...

It's a gps. Well gps antena really. Like the one in your hunting bag but accurate to within tenths/hundredths of an inch.

That was a heavy hit for a surveyor... I hope you don't have to start running loops between monuments and pulling a chaining tape. The old way is aweful slow...

I don't know anything about these domes, but if something is that accurate, is there any kind of tracker or locator on it? Maybe these things are registered or could even be remotely fine tuned?

Yes sir that would be bad .. I've had batteries stolen before but never the **** most important part .. I've had my base pushed over , wires cut but that stuff is nothing compared to the dome going missing ...
