    Old deer camp photos

I enjoy looking at old photographs of deer camps. It seems like hunting trips back in those days were always very successful. Came across this one today that one of my high school coaches posted on facebook. He said it was taken in the Davis Mountains in the mid 1950's. Looks to me like mainly mule deer with one being a whitetail. Thought you might enjoy. Post up old pics if you got'em.

Wait a second, this has to be photo shopped. Not a single one of them is wearing scent-lok or using any spray.

WOW, the great grandpa hunting camp is awesome, look at the old vehicles and what they used. NO High dollar scopes, clothing, binoculars, scents...and NO YETIS....how did they survive??? LOL And look at the scope on that rifle that he used to kill the bear with, we wouldn't used that scope on a pellet gun now days!

And he probably had that cigarette in his mouth as he sat on a 2X4 nailed in the fork of a tree and shot that buck.

Lol. Scent control wasn't a priority I assume.

From what I was told, he was sitting on the tailgate of that old truck taking a break from chopping firewood when he saw the buck running a doe. Whistled real loud to stop him and the rest is history!!! Lol
