its called a taco if it is simply folded in half, if it is rolled with ends folded in, burrito.
A lot of gas stations have them around DFW as well. I live in Coppell and can name a couple gas stations with "taquerias" in them. They are pretty good too.
I was assuming this was the case now that inside of LBJ is more Laredo than...well...Laredo.
Thanks for the help fellas, I grew up in west Texas and for the last 25 years I have been ordering breakfast burritos (rolled and ends folded) from authentic Mexican shops (small metal/wood buildings in backyards). Call it what you want, I am looking for a breakfast item that has bacon eggs cheese and potatoes rolled in a homemade tortilla served with salsa.
I will be checking out the mill st place very soon! Thanks again and carry on the debate, I'll just eat.
If you have a Stripes convenience store in your area with a Laredo Taco Company in it they make some good breakfast tacos. They have a wide selection of things to put into your taco. The "Q" taco is my go to. A "Q" taco should consist of smear of refried beans with chorizo, patato and eggs, and cheese.
Brruitos are an invention of the US. Slap anything in a folded tortilla and its a taco.
yes, I actually live a block from there. I've actually never had their breakfast, just their normal taco for lunch and dinner. My wife is Mexican and she really likes them as well. The fajita steak is the best in my opinion. There are a couple more as well.
Deliman grill also has decent breakfast burritos, though I wouldn't call them authentic, they are still pretty good.
Heard the breakfast tacos were good at a convenience store right across lake Lewisvile bridge going north. Lake Dallas exit, stay on service rd. store on right.
Well in south Texas they are small tacos on corn tortillas usually 4 to a serving with onions and cilantro. In chain restaurants they are the same as flautas.
In Dallas they have soft cheese tacos.....which are actually cheese enchiladas with queso as opposed to chili con carne.
