just curious, never heard of either.

but I figured you had a good reason for it....

I always thought tanning would be the end of having to worry about it.

Lots of good folks on here. Thanks for the offers. I will know this weekend if the cape is going to be worth saving. Thanks for the offers. Sincerely appreciate it. I don't really care to do a euro since this was the first exotic I ever shot.

Euro should still be ok. Hope you can salvage your cape though and end up with the finished product you had in mind

Wow. That sure pegs out the suckmeter. I hope you can salvage. That's inexcusable. Did he have anything to say? Or was he too worried about taking a throat punch from you to talk?

A euro is still do able. I was given a deer head that was in the back of a guys truck for almost two weeks. Nasty son of a gun. Took me three days to skin out. Not because it was tough the skin almost fell off. But every time the maggots fell out I got sick lol. Any ways the skull was badly discolored ofter I FINALY got it cleane up. It bleached out fine. If I was closer I would do a euro for ya no charge. Sorry to see you got burned like that hope you get it worked out.

You just cant BUY advertisement like this these days. Someone fanous once said, "Never @iss off folks who buy their ink by the barrel". That might apply here in some way also.

The horn discoloration is an easy fix.

                          Cape is probably fine.

You can still do a euro, or most likely a shoulder mount.

So it looks like you are "out" $600, and some time. I'd find another taxidermist and keep on keepin' on.

I took it to Gr8 Mounts in Cibolo. Josh and Becky said they should be able to salvage it because the cape was at least frozen. Will post pics when it's done. As for Cory, I heard he is working at Boot Barn and is done with taxidermy. Probably a wise decision.

Spend another $15 and file suite against him in small claims. 3 x (loss) not to exceed $1500.
