    Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Keep your faith strong brother, and all aspects of your life will change. Prayers up!

Be very careful if you are quitting cold turkey, if you are dependent enough on alcohol, you can have serious and fatal seizures. Please talk to your doctor before you quit cold turkey!

Reward yourself every day you dont drink....Take that money you would of spent on booze put it in a jar do this every day and at the end of your journey buy you a really nice bow or a guided hunt you have dreamed about. You can whoop this, the GS is behind you man.

good luck to you. Like I said in the other post what helped me was finding something to occupy my time and body so I didn't think about wanting to drink.

Put your mind to it and remember you're doing it for yourself as much as your family. You're kiddo needs you around!

Yes please have a plan before start. Personally not an addict but I'll give you the same speech I do everyone else. Keep in mind pain is temporary, it may last a minute an hour a day or even a year but at the end of pain is success. If you quit however it will last a lifetime. Go through it, it may be hell but when it's all over you will have done what was necessary to save your life. Praying for you.

20 years, 5 months, and 23 days ago I hit rock bottom. You have admitted you have a problem but you can't do this alone. My advise to you would be find the nearest AA group and go to meetings.

Everytime you wanna go buy some alcohol, put the money away in a little stash and save for a hunting trip or bow or rifle or some other wicked toy!
