does ar 13 inch rule make since??

We can read all the research we want. All I know is that I was raised in the middle of a pine thicket in Hardin County near the Polk and Tyler County lines. Since AR every year we see more and better quality bucks by a long shot. Especially this year. That's all I need to know.

For the record. No protein feeding. Just regular Ol East Texas Hunting. Mostly hand corn.

everytime someone says this a couple people will post pics of one or two deer that are generally very close to 13 (some I think are over) and think that it proves their point, but in all actuality it proves our point that AR works as only a few pics of mature deer that are narrow racked proves our point that only a small percentage of mature deer are less than 13 inches.

I'd like to see several 6.5 year old bucks from one place..less than 13 inches

I do not agree with this. Do you think the "if it's brown, it's down crowd" cares how old a deer is? Also, it is impossible to make a law that says a deer can only be harvested if 4.5 or older. Who is going to be the judge on how old a deer is?

exactly, you can never make a law based on something that no matter what you do is not proveable. Age is and will never be a for sure thing. 13 inches is a for sure thing as its measurable.

I just realized that I no longer care to discuss this topic. Enjoy your 13" regulation. It will change to 15" then 140" minimum, so all can kill a world class buck and land owners can charge ridiculous amounts for a lease. It reminds me of those in favor of the $15 minimum wage

I believe that the limits address this with the 2nd buck being a spike, think this helps with clearing out some of the bad genetics
