    How many feeders?

Just wondering......how many feeders on a place is too many? I was thinking this weekend while hunting, here i am at this feeder , waiting in my pop-up, while there is most likely more at nearby feeders, that may have been here had i not put those up. How many feeders per acre do you think is appropriate? What sais the gs???

we have 6 feeders on 645 acres

started out with 4 but my dad wanted a camp feeder and another feeder in a wheat field that did not have a feeder in it so now we have 6. I was more comfortable with 4 feeders myself, but I really don't think there is a right/wrong answer for this one

I prefer one feeding station per 100 acres or so.

I have two within 100 feet of each other.

They are set to go off at different time. like 7 and then 7:30

One to bring them in to the bow blind... The other to move them over to a tripod.

I will not do that next year. They are at both

There are two types of answers to this question

                    1) # potential hunters at one time = # of feeders or
                    2) # of deer is proportional to the # feeders.

                    #1 is for baiting/hunting
#2 is for managing the size and health of your herd.

Which one are you REALLY wanting to know?

1-100 is a good rule of thumb depending on how thick the plot is

We have 8 feeders on 1100 acres. It seems like too many in October when the acorns are dropping.
