I can go about a week or better without refilling mine. They told me to set my humidity temperature to the room temperature. I have to adjust it a little as the seasons change. I use a little more water in the winter but it's very humid where I live. My dad has the same machine in west Texas and has to refill daily.

I got on one last year and it took me about three masks before I found one that I liked. I wound up with the nose pillows I think it is called aloha. It fits good with no leaks and has pads on the straps so no marks on the face in the morning. I'm still figuring out the humidifier and just seen my doctor about reducing my pressure from 11 to 9. It takes awhile to get used to it but I do like not falling a sleep in my chair while watching tv

Heck I drag mine into the living room to take a nap in the recliner. If I start feeling sleepy watching football or whatever, I'll put it on and I'm out...

I rarely do naps on purpose but I did do one yesterday at the lease and wore the mask. I woke up just in time for the evening hunt.

I have been using one for 3 years and can't sleep without it. One thing I find odd is that when I use it here in east Texas I have to refill every day, 2 days at most. I take it to the deer lease in west Texas and it will last 4 days without adding water. You would think it would be the other way around. Strange to me.

On a side note, where is a cheap place to order supplies from? I get them from a local place now but my insurance changed and no longer covers them so I would like to shop around some.

Cpap.com or cpapusa or whatever has been quick and good to me. Get a mask once every other yr.

I sleep on my side or stomach every night even though he said I wouldn't be able to. Use a nose mask.

I used to not be able to open my mouth without leaking hard air. Now I can't hardly make it do it. Involuntary muscle change in nose to throat valve I guess.

I don't use the humidifier on mine at all. I just use a saline nose spray if I need it. Usually only need that in the winter when the heat is on in the house. I won't sleep a minute without it.

When you say dehydrated, do you mean dry lips, aching muscles, cottonhead, or do you mean like a parched throat and dry nose? Because I get the latter at least once a week with my Bipap, but it takes either hot weather or hard drinking to get me to the former. Usually I sleep with my mouth closed (don't ask my how I trained myself into it, but after a few months of a mouthbreathing on CPAP, I stopped), but apparently now and then I am doing it, and now that I have my humidifier turned down for the summer, I get it more.

Turn up the humidifer if you have one-- add one if you don't

I've been using one since the mid '90's and I quit using water in mine a very long time ago.

I don't use water either. And keep changing masks until you find one that works for you. I sleep on my side so the full mask didn't work for me and I quit for a long time until my doctor mentioned nasal pillows. Changed to that and never looked back. There are even different configurations of those you can try.
