I'm with Jason in that I have to fill mine every night. My son has a newer model and his needs refilling about every 2 to 3 nights. Definitely use only distilled water.

Since you're new to this, don't clean your mask, tubing, or reservoir with water and bleach. I clean mine with liquid dish soap and water and rinse, then let them air dry. I also spray the cushion/mask with disinfectant just to make sure I kill the germs.

There are other solutions besides the CPAP if you will not wear it.
70 percent of people after a year will quit wearing their CPAP.
70 percent of people wearing an oral appliance to treat sleep apnea are still using it after a year.

If you have sleep apnea you need to have one of the two! Either a CPAP or an oral appliance.

I took my water tank off several years ago, didn't think I needed it. I have noticed now that every morning I wake up to a plugged up head and have been thinking about putting the tank back on to see if it will help the congestion.

I been on a cpap now for 11 years on machine number two.....One trick on a cold night is to heat the distilled water in microwave then put it in humidifier and to have a insulator fleese sock on the hose . this help cut down on condensation in hose. My orginal machine I had 10 years ago had a very fine filter on the intake air and it seemed to filter out allergens in air. I had less problems with allgeries in my sinus. I use my cpcp if I even lay down to take a short nap that how accustom I am to it .......As far as fill tank I fill it every night with distilled water. I have tried 7-8 different mask over the years I like nasal pillows best.....Andy

Resmed vpap 111. I couldn't stand a cpap. This is v or bipap. Kicks on and off with my breathing - huge difference in comfort to me

Second one I have owned. Ruined first one last year after several yrs of no problem taking it everywhere I forgot to empty water on way to deer lease. Flooded it. Still worked after taking apart and blowing out but makes a whining noise so picked this one of that was used couple nights and gave up on. (Like so many do)

I have missed only couple nights off mine while at scout camp w my son. Take it to deer lease , family camping, everywhere - don't nap without it ! Can't even think of falling asleep with out it !

I keep humidifier off all the time on zero - Probably why water last - But if empty or low I can tell big difference.

It will easy go two weeks to 3 before refilling. Long as distilled water is used- it doesn't get funky or slimy at all like well water. It will turn pinkish and get slimy quick

Been in mine since 2004 - so about 9 yrs and have missed literally less than a week on it total

This replacement I picked up on eBay for 200
Downloaded instructions to get into clinical mode and set it up to old machines pressures in less than 5min.

My tank is that size and lasts a night.... If there is anything left I have to dump it. I'm good with that though.

You can put your water chamber in the top rack of the dishwasher if you want. Just take the top off and lay them both face down on the top rack.

I refill mine about every 2 nights.

Smart... What temp do you set yours too? I have been going on the colder side like 64 for a while.

Mine doesn't have a temp. It's 0-10 with 10 bring the hottest. I set it on 7.5. 10 is pretty dang warm.

I'll use it at 10 if I am at a place with a poor heater like some of the guest cabins I have stayed it and its cold inside. It build up condensation over 4-5 hours but one dump beats getting sick with frozen nasal passages in those conditions.

I put it on 3 out of five last night. So far I still feel a bit fatigued but honestly better than last night. Mask still keeps slipping off quit a few times at night. Not sure if I need a different mask or its just me moving around a bunch and needing to get use to it. Dr told me today that this isint uncommon, just eat healthy and stick with it. Thanks for all the help, will keep you updated.
