Hunt the moon not the weather. Mid-day on full moon phases were awesome for me last year in spite of the temps.

I had a 6 point come in about 900 this morning. My cam shows that they are moving from 8 to 100

The solunar tables state that we have two major and two minor "feeds" daily. Majors occur when the moon in directly over head or under foot. Minors are when the moon is rising or setting on the horizon. As the moon goes through its monthy solunar cycles these times change daily. The closer we get to a new or full moon the "major" times navigate closer to mid day and midnight while minors will be at sunrise and sunset. conversely when the moon is waxing or waning the majors shift more towards sunrise and sunset with minors being mid day towards midnight.

Doe ran by my stand 30min ago. She was not spooked, like something was on her tail.

I have been seeing deer movement during the day when it's warmer. Although, moon phases do play apart, when rut is on, all rules off, seen em chasing during a warm day and a full moon the night before. Love makes ya do funny things.

Solunar tables are way overrated. Full moon and the last quarter can have SOME affect.

Solunar tables are based off of fishing stats, and I don't know about you, but my deer don't live in the water and chase rattle traps.

Use barametric pressure if anything to dictate your length or time on stand

A lot of folks miss out on mid-day deer movement. I probably get to my stand around 9AM as often as I do before sun up. I often see more deer between the hours of 10-1 than I do the first couple of hours of day light. And that is regardless of what moon is out.

Are you keying in on wind changes and rise in pressure?
