It is all factory, it has napa shocks, mechanic recommended, the rough ride is most noticeable on freeway, but it wasn't bad until I went with cooper at 285, my old 265 at tires were much smoother. The ride is more like instead of the tires rolling, they are just bouncing straight up and down., I can watch the top of my grill guard vibrating. Do ball joints affect the ride or is it just a side to side issue.

Search Thuren suspension. I have 2007 5.9 that rides much better than most HD trucks stock suspension. I also had my bilstein shocks valved for my specific weight. Most the people that ride with me that own Chevrolet 2500 and 3500 are amazed at my trucks ride at 4.5" lift
The only modification that really made a diffrence on the solid front axle was an after market torsion sway bar. But at the same time you tend to get more body roll on fast curves in the rd. so I pulled mine off. It almost felt too soft.Last edited by Txarrowhunter; 11-12-2013, 07:57 PM.

If you want comfort buy a Chevrolet. Good luck. P.s.

Camber can only be adjusted with offset ball joints. This is hardly ever done though. Ride issues are usually in the shocks. It is just the opposite then you think. Stiffer shocks on this truck ride better than soft shocks. Also, if you have a level kit ( spacer) make sure your shocks are not topped out. That will make for a horrible ride.

This is a torsion sway bar...

I had an 08 3500 that had the wobble.. The dealership replaced all the bearings/bushings and struts, shocks, springs. You name it and it was replaced. They ended up putting a heavier duty package on mine with a dual strut stablizer on my front end. Vehicle still felt loose.. Ended up trading truck in.. Just couldnt take the thought of that front end bouncing all over the road again.
