I guess I'm an oddball. I set mine for 7:30 and 4:30 and don't ever touch it.

To give you the same amount of time with feed on the ground before dark.

Yes, SSI out of Austin made that timer. Put in the date and latitude/longitude and it calculated sunrise/sunset for every day of the year and feed accordingly. I have 10 of them that are about 10 years old still working flawlessly.

How about one that you can program from home?
That way you could adjust based on what you see off that camera which uploads pics through a cell phone connection. Integrate it with that camera through a wireless connection so you only need one phone line.

Diamond was the brand of feeder I hunted over that had those timers

The Kenco aka Smart Timer works similar to what I am talking about. But they don't sale a timer they sale a feeder motor and timer unit. The unit is not a great feeder unit. I am talking about a greatly improved timer only - to replace the timer in the feeder you guys have in the field today.

Thanks for the feed back. I will keep working on this and if I can get it going I ask for some help with test units to get the bugs out.

My old photocell feeder used to go off thirty minutes after daylight and 1 hr before dark....regardless of the time. ...apparently it adjusted itself

During summer, that 4:30 PM setting is 4 1/2 hours before dark. That won't work for me.

Like some others have said, mine throws at 7:15 am & 4:30/4:45 pm, and it stays on fall back time, never an issue, never needs adjusting. Only adjustment made is amount of feed thrown in the off season.

I'm your huckleberry. If you need some test subjects for the cost of materials, I'd join your test team. Let me know if I can help.

It's a good idea and one I have thought about for awhile but don't have the knowledge to make. I personally and everyone that I hunt with (all bow hunters) perfer our feeders to go off a little before first light. We like this because it gives the deer time to come in and get settled in thier routine of eating.
