OP ~Deer will probably die from lactic acid buildup from the stress. Owner needs to be fined for sure.
My dogs are probably better kept and more obedient than most peoples kids....and No I feel no responsibility if the drag up a rabbit possum pig or deer!!!! Cats kill birds, mice and squirrels everyday no one says a word about that, what is the difference? There is a purpose for the distinction between wild and domestic. Like I said my dog kills or harms someone's personal property I will take responsibility and dispose of the dog and pay for the property... But as for my dogs and wildlife... The strong shall survive!

Dog should be on a leash though.
ill give you that, there was blood and what looked to be a some meat hanging from the back leg area. i believe this is an owner issue. the dog needs its *** beat. and i am surprised this deer didnt give him one. wonder if the deer had been fed by people so it was used to them and possibly even dogs?

You do know that deer live in the same area as coyotes and other carnivores that chase them all the time..

All that will happen to that deer is it will be a little smarter and learn to run when it smells a dog

Man I hope some of you overly compassionate folks don't ever need a tracking dog to find a deer you need trailing that you have driven an arrow or bullet through and wounded.

They will bark at them and circle them just like this. Heck the good ones will tackle and try to take them down. Bad doggie!!

I miss the good old days, when men were men and didn't act like ladies over a dog baying a deer or killing a wild animal.

You need to have a talk with your local game warden and express your thoughts on that. I wouldn't be surprised if that conversation didn't end badly for you. Again you sir give pet owners a bad name and I urge you to do some thinking on the ethics and legality of your views. Your dog will eventually be shot. Have a nice day !
