    Not a happy surprise.. Rattlesnake

Well lately at the house on our ranch that I stay in I have been smelling something Not right in the mudroom. For the past couple weeks I could not figure out where it was coming from. So I finally found the source of the smell. A. Sticky bug trap had gotten pushed underneath the washer, for who knows how long and it captured a 12'' rattler.

Talk about am unsettling feeling finding a dead rattle bug in the house u stay at almost every weekend of deer season!

A dead rattlebug is a good rattlebug. Glad you're safe!

May want to set out some more sticky traps for a little peace of mind.

Haha! Yea that is the reason my wife will never know of this unfortunate occurrence. She would say the same thing as u and swear to never come to our ranch again.

I'd still go to the ranch after that, but I'd be sleeping in my FJ beside the burned down house!

I would go get a bunch more sticky traps just to be safe.

Already did it. I put out 5 news traps and checked every knook and cranny with a flashlight. I am here till Sunday with my dog. A rat terrier and we don't need any more surprises. Especially the kind that have a rattle attached to their tail

Hope you find the spot the snake used to enter the house so you can seal it.

Holy!!! Whoa, I wouldn't walk at night without lights. Hopefully it was just on the porch and slipped in if a door was left open. Squirrels or rats can chew a hole and the snakes just follow their scent trails to set up an ambush. That would creep me out (wearing snake boots to bed).
