If his place is like mine its impossible to "hunt the oaks". Dang near every tree on the place is an oak!
I have the same problem as the OP. As we speak I'm sitting in a tree where 5 trails come together. That's all you can do until boom season when you can cover more ground from one spot.

At mine pigs come deer leave. Pigs on a two week pattern. They stay for a few days then gone for couple weeks. No acorns here tho. Only skeet trees
