Not saying that I would ever do this but a boobie trap. A pull pin and the seat of your stand. The seat will only stay upright with the pull pin in it. Remove pin when you leave seat looks good untill someone sits on it then the seat collaps. Poachers don't use saftey straps. Threre are all kinds of ways to do this to stands and steps.

Hidden game cam and then turn the SD card over to Game warden or sherrif. Maybe more than one cam. I do it going into my set ups.
