Ideas on stopping thieves????

I'm thinking about hanging a second "backup" stand in the woods. I know I can run a cable around the tree to protect the stand but what about the climbing sticks. Anyone have a good idea to stop the climbing sticks from walking off??

Nothing is fool-proof. But this is a great deterrent.

Lag bolts to the tree. Doubt they take time to undo a 3 inch lag.

In East Texas I had someone saw down a pine tree to steal a stand I had chained to it.

I had the same problem on a lease in east tx. I took a couple of pieces of plywood and screwed some screws in it and covered it with leaves at the base of the tree . Like you would use for keeping bears out of a cabin . It work and I found blood all over the place the next time I hunted that stand . Never had any thing stollen again . If you try it just don't forget it when you go to hunt . Lol......
