I have used Jacksons for the last few years and been pleased. However, I have everything that can be made into steaks, made into steaks and the rest hamburger meat. Nothing too fancy for my crew. We dont eat the sausage much and it usually goes bad or I give it away.

My wife uses the venison burger for everything! I only use them because I have them tenderize and vacuum seal the steaks.

I may try Alans though. Ainsworths was too slow and too expensive for me. Jacksons always gets me my order turned around within a week or so and I have never been shorted meat that I can tell.

Does Alans only do sausage or do they tenderize steaks and grind hamburger as well?

Junior's just about priced me out of deer hunting. They would charge double for your meat. You pay a processing fee which is higher than most others, then if you add beef or pork to make hamburger, they would weigh the total and charge per pound. I should only have to pay for the beef added, not the total weight. I switched to Jackson's years ago and have never had an issue. But same as above, I get mostly hamburger made.
