If you get the time and are close enough I would recommend going over to Kerens to Rednek Booda and shoot what Jerry has to offer. One of very very few shops that won't try to persuade you to a certain brand and very knowledgable about every bow he has.

I shoot an elite judge and an elite answer. I've owned a number of Mathews and Hoyt's and all are "good" bows but none had the total package that my elites do. Elite bows carry a transferable lifetime warranty, come with winners choice custom string, most solid back wall of any bow I've ever shot, and the easiest bows I've ever tuned. Not to mention fast and silky smooth.

I have shot a lot of the big brands and elite I'd by far my favorite. I own a D350 right now but when I get the chance, an elite pulse will be in my posetion!

I would wait till mathews releases their new line up I know elite already has. My vote would be elite or mathews just my opinion though.

Honestly this is what I'm looking for.

A bow that is lightweight, dependable, durable, has an AtA of less that 34", draw length of 29", weight of 70#, smooth draw cycle, the less noise the better, and some serious speed. However I do not want something that feels like a toy in your hand like my Core does. The prime, mathews and hoyt all had something I liked but I am open to trying a different brand like Bowtech and elite, any particular models?
You can't judge it brands based on one model. That would be like saying Cadillacs can't possibly drive well because you had driven a Cavilier and they are both made by GM.

You are about to drop a grand. You owe it to you and your wallet to check them all so you aren't starting one of these threads next year.

Ask yourself this. If you spend an extra week shooting the others and don't like them what have you lost? (just one week with a new bow)
BUT if you don't spend that week that could translate into you having regrets down the road.

You will find one bow that you really like, brand and model won't matter

I shoot a hoyt vector (the model before the spyder) and love it. The draw cycle is what did me in. Also, I couldn't find a bow that had as little hand schock as my hoyt, so naturally I went with it. Now if you need/want a really solid back wall and a smooth shooter, check out the bowtech experience.

Dont overlook Elite. Answer is one of the smoothest bows I've shot. So smooth I brought it home with me this weekend. That was after shooting the Creed, I just wasnt feeling the Creed.

I would check out a Bowtech. Dont worry about the diamond thing, those bows are on a different level. You know Coors owns Keystone I shoot an Insanity CPX, Fast, **** quiet, pretty smooth (its a speed bow though). I shoot it because of those reasons and with my 27" draw and shooting ability, I dont mind a 6" brace height. I have shot many bows and all of the flagships. Anyone saying the creed is quiet and fast hasnt shot a bowtech. I give it to them, its a smooth and forgiving bow but its a snail. Chill isnt bad though. I would look into Elite like others have been saying. I have heard tons of good things about them, and that warranty is unbeatable.

Do like others have said. Shoot every bow that you can afford, then YOU decide what you want to shoot. I shoot a Diamond and love it, so there ya go. My opinion is useless for you, like others might be. Don't worry about what others like, your not spending THEIR money. Forget name brands, shoot everything on the rack then pick the one that feels best to you. Have fun.

Elite Hunter/Answer. Don't lay down your cash till you give them a chance. I'd imagine you'll like the draw cycle and back wall. Top notch quality, Cerakote on the cams, Winner's Choice strings, and as mentioned above, lifetime warranty. I switched from Hoyt to Elite, don't regret it one bit. Even with all that being said, try out as many as you can. Form your own opinion, you can't go wrong with any of the high end bows now days.
