Im a firm believer now. Used it for the first time opening day. The evening was windy and blowing 15 straight downwind to the feeder. Had 5 bucks directly downwind. A mature cull came in to 16yds and he was dead in 15seconds with the help of a rage extreme to the heart. Dead at 60yrds. Ozonics is definitely worth the money!

They work awesome but the one I purchased Tuesday had a bad battery. It would only last about 15 minutes and shut off.. Having said that I got to find out about their customer service---- it rocked!! Told her my problem and she is shipping me a new one out first and a return shipping label for the bad one..

I'm a true believer in them whole heartily on function but my only complaint is the batteries.. In general they stink... IMO they should come with the better batteries they offer from the start,, even if that means they cost a little extra... A 3 hour battery doesn't do much good on a 5 hour sit and the last thing I want is a back pack full of batteries or $70 batteries ill never use if I buy the better ones.. Just my thoughts but I own 3 of them so I am sold on them!!!

I had the same thing happen with my battery when i purchaed mine. Ole thump yer right about the customer service! Great! Agree with your opinion on batteries but, i dont mind dealing with the battery change if it can get me closer to a wallhanger. The discount for TBH members is nice too!

Oh I b knowing this lol. I won't hit the woods without one in my back pack!! I'm sure their trying to keep the price point below $400 which is understandable.. Gotta make a buck!! I just need to order a few better batteries and sell my standard ones.

They will probably just give you newer ones if you tell them what your dealing with in the field. I would just ask. They seem pretty reasonable. Im sure they could spare a battery or 2! Ha. Good luck to ya for the season.

I'm semi-sold on them and will be testing one (HR-200) out his season. Where I do most of my hunting it's about as pressured as it gets and you won't find more educated game. I had been very apprehensive about the odor of the ozone itself. Several hunters I know that had used them, said they had deer spook on the smell. Then I started guiding for some guys that use them all the time and swear by them. When I've sat with THEM, it really seemed to work. So I bought one.

I've learned that the deer CAN smell the ozone but that their brains are not 'programmed' to alert to the odor. Reading the literature wit the unit, the company doesn't claim it's 100% effective but they will give you your money back within 360 days if you find that you're busted FAR less with the unit than you did without. That's a pretty big confidence in their product. Between that and the recommendations of some very renowned hunters I guide for, I figured it was worth trying out. After I use it for a full deer season, I'll post my own review; but I have pretty high hopes. I think the key is going to be setting it up properly in various setups.

If you can afford it, I don't see how it's not worth trying - with the money back guarantee.

I got the HR-200, bought three regular batteries so I can switch out during the day- I use mine in a ladder stand under my normal scent control, I got mine because I am a "sweater", so I have the scent control field wipes handy all day and the ozonics running on the "normal" setting. I know this thing works because the hogs will run right under my stand and not even flinch about it. they stop for a minute and beat up the legs on my feeder and continue on. I have found though that if am not careful about my boot scent on the walk in Ill just waste a day sitting. ( I now keep my boots in a tote with fresh dirt overnight after every sitting.) Believe it or not... your walk in scent control can hurt you more than your scent control while sitting.

I've been looking at them and reading as many comments as I can on them. The most common complaint I've read about is that the deer can hear the unit and sometimes spook from the sound. I think I would worry about that more than them smelling the unit because, like has been said previously, if they can smell the ozone - they can smell you too. I guess I'm going to have to buy one and try it out for myself so I can make my own decision.

Hmmm, different situation and deer I guess but I've had dozens and dozens of deer at less than 10 yards and never felt like they paid any attention to the noise.

Come to think of it, my deer do seem to look up a lot more when the ozone unit is running and it's dead calm winds. If the wind is blowing just slightly, they seem normal. Wonder if they are hearing the fans....interesting. That being said, they'll usually calm down pretty fast and relax, i think maybe they just hear it humming and want to look and make sure they don't see a threat. Hold still and wait, they'll calm down.

Love It!! But you have to check the wind and move accordingly during whole hunt.

I highly doubt they are spooking from the noise of the fans unless they are turning the unit on/off while the deer are there. I say this because it is a constant noise and I have had hundreds of deer within 5-15 yards of mine and never once did I think they every paid any attention to it and this is on several different properties. Now when the wind is blowing to them I have seen them lift there nose trying to get a whiff of me and I'm sure they can smell it but they didn't spook from it as far as I could tell. I have had a few deer when the wind was blowing to them smell and smell and eventually leave but they usually come back. I think the reason they left is because they caught a small whiff of me. Of course if you use one enough you just might educate them that the Ozone smell means humans(Danger).
