I dont know, but would you eat it? if no then i wouldnt feed it to my dog. I like mine more then that. plus if it is bad i wouldnt want he "accident" all over my floor
My parents have freezer thats got some meat thats bout 3-4 yrs old. Never been thawed out. Would it be safe to feed to my dog?
Thx
It is even safe for you to eat. Freezer burn is just like freeze dried food that has not been rehydrated. It might be unappealing but it is not unsafe as long as it has not been thawed and then refrozen.
I wouldn't eat it either unless I was starving to death because of the quality and taste once it gets dried out. About the time that bugs or a raw rabbit's liver starts looking good to you, some freezer burned meat might be a meal fit for a king.
Foodborne pathogens don't grow on it because it has been frozen for a long time. Freezing won't kill many of them however and the food still needs to be fully cooked as you would any other time.

I have seen my dog eat a lot of crap that would more than likely have killed a human, and I sure as heck wouldn't have ate.
Feed it to the dog, they have iron stomachs and are predators that are supposed to eat raw and rotten meat.
