Who else came home empty handed?

Yeap I did the walk of shame in the rain back to my truck. Not sure what went wrong today, I've had deer on my camera for the last two weeks coming in every day around the same time but today they came in and bedded down 100 yard away from me. Oh well perhaps I'll have better luck when I go back on the 4th.

Got soaked, cold, and then got my truck stuck in the mud.

I'm gonna shoot something tomorrow though, when I go back to get my truck lol

Don't look at it that way or you'll burn yourself out of hunting. If you ask if I killed anything? No. But I watched the world wake up around me, saw a few critters, and had an awesome time thinking about what this hunting season may turn into in the next couple of months. I'm not that mad at them yet.

I saw two does and almost got a shot. Not empty at all. I saw animals and still have the freedom to hunt. Love being in Gods woods. I never come home empty handed.

Got skunked this morning & rained out tonight, but it was amazing watching the woods come alive for the first time in too long

                      I got nothing too.
been up at my place trimming etc...for the past 3 weekends in a row. too much pressure...maybe. Rookie mistake. i knew better - but i just couldn't not hunt today ( Can I call it a scouting day if i had an arrow knocked
Think i should have given the area a rest for at lease 2 weeks....didn't see anything until was leaving - a group of 5 doe in my neighbors field.

Ohh....DOes anyone use Nose Jammer around here? After an hour in the treestand - these couple of huge bees became my new best friends. Guess they liked the vanilla scent.

Not only was I the only one on the lease who didn't see anything but I had an empty truck bed driving back to camp. Hoping tomorrow is better for deer and weather

Had to work, so didn't get to hunt. Not sure about Sunday or even Tuesday which is my next day off. I don't even have a feeder or stand up yet. Hopefully I will get that done this next week if it stops raining. Didn't find out til 2 weeks b4 season that I for sure got to hunt the place again. Got MLD tags to start filling shortly.

                          Be safe guys and gals.

Didn't have any luck this morning or this evening. Saw a small young buck early this morning then nothin. Saw two skinny spikes this evening but they both had splits on both sides or I would have taken one. Hoping tomorrow has a different outcome and get a nice fat for

I came home from an 18 mile training run for the San Antonio marathon without my shirt. It was so drenched in sweat I ditched it in the bar ditch and drove back to get it. Spent the rest of the day on the couch! Hoping to be in the stand tomorrow morning, weather permitting.
