Man y'all are some unprepared mofos!!! I'm ready to roll, all feeders are full and working as of last weekend, all bags and gear are pack and waiting by the front door. Pulled cames last weekend and hope the pattern of several bucks hasn't changed. Come on 5 o'clock. Gotta swing by the house grab the wife and gear and roll. The twins are already with grandma for the weekend!!

After talking with my son I have decided to start hunting again after 25 years of taking off from deer hunting. Son wants to learn! Problem is I just bought my bow 2 days ago at Bass & Pro. I have nothing prepared or a place to hunt. Been looking at TX public land hunts.
Anyone have a get ready punch list they could share?
Thx......

I'm right there with you, amigo. Unfortunately, I've been so wrapped up in work issues that I haven't even had time to think about hunting. I'm not going anywhere this weekend, and I'm unlikely for next, so I'm not even sure when I'll have an opportunity to go. I hope to spend a little time shooting and pretending to gather gear this weekend.

I stay ready. Prepping for hunting season is a year round ordeal for me. My clothes stay ready and stored in containers at my camp, feeders run year round, cameras operate 6 months out of the year, camp stays maintained along with stands, feeders, trails, etc. While in one of my lock-ons, climber, or walking to and fro stand areas I am always looking for a better spot for next year. Usually relocate two-three stands right after season if they don't produce. Lot of work maintaining everything. But worth it.
I do not like the feeling of being rushed or not ready.
Not going this weekend. My choice to keep working overtime until I feel the weather is right in my area for good, quality hunting.
For those going... Best of luck and get a big un!
