    Anyone Else COMLPETELY Unprepared

Things have been so dang busy with the dove outfitting (have hunted 24 out of 27 days) as well as the real job, I have done NOTHING!

Between now and 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, I have to wash clothes, get all camera gear charged and ready, and at least throw a few arras down range. I haven't shot my bow since the last deer in January. Practice is over rated and tends to throw off my form, so this should not be a problem. However, all the other prep is gonna be a B.

    Anyone else In these shoes?

I'm 80-90% there. Need to stop for a License and a bag or two of hand corn on the way home. Double check and organize gear for in the morning then roll out at 04:00.

I like to shoot and practice regularally starting in late July or August. I know it helps with muscle memory but I usually tend to start out really good and by now am a little sloppy with form.

I've started last week by just shooting a few arrows instead of many.

I'm in the same boat, but we're not hunting tomorrow. We're hunting next weekend. I get to use this weekend to prep. I was hoping to hit the range, but may get rained out.

I just got my bow adjusted at Bass Pro and now I need to sight it in, pack, go shopping, do clothes and be in the blind at 6am. Beer will help make this all happen

I guess I'm pretty unprepared since I just joined a lease Tuesday and haven't even seen it yet.

Unfortunately I can't even go look for 2 weeks so I guess it'll have to wait. Fortunately the stands and feeders are community and already set up.

I am in the same boat you are Trey. I am always ready several weeks before season starts. Not this year. Clothes are washed but still not sorted and all thrown in trash bags. I am hunting with two 15 year old twins so there is a lot of stuff. Havent bought any cover scents, arrows and broadheads are scattered around at home and lease, two of five feeders not currently running. This is so not like me but it has just been crazy busy coaching as well as the twins playing too.I wont get to lease till probably 2:00 a.m. and be up the rest of the night getting stuff ready to go. Next year when I retire I already told the boys I will be waiting on them Friday night by the fire cause it will ALL be done

In the same boat as you fellas . . . My stands and feeder are set up but I haven't pulled any pics yet. My clothes and gear are in storage due to our recent move and I just got back to Dallas after 2 weeks in NJ for work. No hunting for me this weekend but hopefully will be in the stand next Saturday.

My gear is always ready for a hunt. I dug through my "bowhunting" camo, in Tupperware containters & bow cases, all was there ready to go. Hunting back pack always has my binos, knives and rangefinder....just need to check batteries on range and flash lights. Course.....I'm rolling to Padre Island National Seashore this opening weekend.....the reports are:

FISHING IS OFF THE CHAIN RIGHT NOW! Redfish and Chopper Bluefish on Rattletraps and Mirrolures with Jack Crevalle up to 40" on cut ladyfish fished Carolina rig style. The fella with this report didn't even try to shark fish and filled up his ice box before mid morning.

Good luck fellas! If you don't have the hunting gear dialed in, don't sweat it, the FISHING IS HOT RIGHT NOW!
