Bringing this back up. I finally had some time to mess with it again. I went threw the electrical and ended up changing out a solenoid and got it to start again but it is doing the same thing (see video previously posted) it did before I changed out the carb wondering if it could be hydraulic fluid ?

Here is the video before the Carb was replaced. It is doing the same thing

If I can't get this one running right I'm just gonna go buy a new one. I have $1400 into this used one and don't want to put any more into it.

Dip your finger in that clear liquid and see what it smells like, does it smell like gas or no smell?

Might let it run for a little while and see if it purges all of that fluid out or if it continues to leak. Also what does it do if you put a load on the motor? It wanting to die and bog down?

I put my finger in it and it smelled like gas to me. I will go out and put a load on the motor and get back

I put a load on it and it does not seem to make a difference. I also let it run for a while and it seems like it has slowed down or stopped. Im going to clean it up really good and then check it again to see if it did stop or just slow down.

I am thinking you just had some water from the rain get down in there and when you start the motor up it is flushing it out of the system and it will quit when you run it long enough to get it all out.

I hope you are right. I am heading to the store to get some degreaser and I will clean it up and check it out again tomorrow.

Let us know what you find out after you get the motor cleaned up. I hope that fixes the problem for you and if nothing else drive the dang thing until it locks up to try and get your moneys worth out of it before going and buying a new mower, might surprise you and the stupid thing last 5 years before finally breaking down completely.

Got it cleaned up and drove around for a while and it doesn't seem to be leaking now. Could it just have been rain water that accumulated somewhere and then worked its way out all along?

That is what I am thinking it was. Glad you got it up and running.
