Not to change the OP topic but how to snakes dig holes anyways?

They don't.

Man....Typically snakes will occupy an existing hole created by another animal. Most snakes cant dig very well (no arms or legs!)

Their egress will maintain an access, but they do not dig holes/dens. They occupy existing holes.

Now that they blocked the entrance to the snakes house they will have no choice but to come into the big house!

I'm guessing they'd find a near by hole to occupy, just like the armadillo did.

Wrong time of year. Snakes won't be returning to den locations until it starts cooling off at night.

True that, and there's evidence some snakes do not return to the same den every year, but return they will.
