He's going to be playing a lot across the middle of the field. Hit him in stride, in space, see you later!

you'd think Overstreet's passing as an ex QB would have given him an advantage on the additional options in that formation.

If he's on the field, it will cause some confusion when he motions towards Gray at the snap. I think he'll be throwing the ball from the formation from time to time and depending on where they're at on the field, plus yardage.

Didn't see the depth chart yet. Is he the starting slot?

Wild = short for "Wildcat" correct ?

McFadden and Jones ran it often at Arky which was known as the "wildhog" formation

Yes, Texas calls it the "Wildhorn" which I think is silly, but that is what it is.

We Are.....Penn State! Open up against Syracuse at Met Life Stadium. Interesting to see who will be the QB. Top Recruit Christian Hackenberg or JUCO transfer Tyler Ferguson. I'm thinking an 8 win year this year is in the cards. Counting losses against Ohio State, Michigan, Wiscounsin, Nebraska.

Proud of the Blue and White and their resilience.

                    (z) is Harris or Shipley

                    (H) is Daje with the freshman Warrick backing him up

Would love to see PSU turn it around

                        Sounds like Ship not 100%?

Don't need him this week anyway. Would love to see JH do something. Never have been able to figure that guy out. He's all conference one series then the disappearing man for a month.

Nope, I hope they don't play him until he is! I'm hoping this JUCO transfer TE pays off, they've listed Swaim as the starter.

Dom doesn't sound like he's going to last long. Mack is on record stating Harrison will see a lot of time Saturday night!

Completely agree!! Particularly this week. Work JH and Magic and see what the TE's can do. McFarland #3???? That's a surprise.

Gotta feel for Dom even though I'm excited about pushing him off the starting line. His technique is as good as anyone we have from what I can see. Just doesn't have the body.

as a fan of CFB, I too am pulling for Happy Valley

in reality, it's gonna be real hard for PSU to compete as they were slammed with no bowl games for 4 years and scholarships have been reduced from 25 to 15 for 4 years.

it might take Penn State 10+years to recover before they will be a relevant NC contender

school officials and coaches sold these kids down to river

I hope they run it, run it some more, and then run it again! Let Ash throw it just enough to nock off the rust and run it down their throat!

You can tell he's stoked about his position:

@ChuckCarltonDMN: Major Applewhite on how he will be different than Bryan Harsin as Texas play-caller: "Redheaded and on the sideline."
