Oh yeah simply going to college and getting an education will turn you into a huge liberal!!

I'm being sarcastic in case you can't tell.

Liberals have no concept of root cause analysis. They like to treat symptoms instead of addressing the actual problem.

Over the last 15-20 years it's not just the weirdness that spread from Austin to Pflugerville up into Rock Rock and even further now.

In Australia they charge 10cents a bag and charge you 2$ to use a buggy

We still get plastic grocery bags here but you have to put your lawn clippings in bio-degrade able trash bags.

They have the consistency of wet toilet paper. Somehow my grass clippings disappear every week.

I sleep at night because I recycle since the city gave us recycling bins to use and I water ration as much as possible by urinating outside.

I feel like I should collect some and then pass them out for the people. Sad

You have to bring your own as we don't supply them. It's a city ordnance. My reply was what kind of hick backwoods place is this? Just when you think you've heard it all. I gotta find a way around that place.

My wife encountered this last week. If I remember correctly it has to do with the thickness of the plastic. For instance you can go to the mall and buy from stores that will put stuff in a thicker material of plastic. More like the ones you get when you shop at Cabelas or something. What I wonder, is, why didn't they just make it so the stores used a heavier construction bag. The regular ones always tear too easy anyway. My wife also told me that she had the option to buy one of their green recycled bags for $2 and you could use that for your groceries.

                        Oh this is great!

My wife just informed me her parents that live in Austin are coming down to visit. Well they are wanting to go grocery shopping down here in Gonzales because its such a pain in the butt to shop in Austin. I guess coming to see us is just a bonus. ROFL!

We still get plastic bags in Wimberley and Dripping Springs. I would have no problem with the rule if I had to live in the city I would still choose Austin. Anything is better than DFW or Houston....or hickville East Texas. We recycle including the plastic bags. Nothing wrong with doing your part to preserve mother earth for future generations.

I just keep 2 five gallon buckets in the back of my truck - work great for shopping bags.

                            Definitely get some funny looks.

                              Love it!

I have no problem with people wanting to do something positive, just not a fan of gubmint requiring such things thru more politically motivated laws.

I would go for a law making it okay to run over bicyclist on regular roads!

Yep, I've been dealing with this type of liberal BS for 4 years now. After living in California for that time I have a new appreciation for freedom, open country and Texas. Be warned one these human parasites establish a presence, they are heck to get rid of!
