Spurs have no answer for CP3

My team again holds serve and is up 2 games to none.

In the playoffs you have to win at home and the Hornets get the job done.

Back to back games in S.A. with the Spurs' backs up against the wall.

Can the defending champs win 4 out of 5 ?

San Antonio looks lost and confused as Pops has yet to solve the Chris Paul mystery.

I'm taking this series 1 game at a time as N.O. will be happy with a split at the AT&T Center.

Perhaps it's to much youth, athleticism , and Chris Paul for the Spurs.

Pops needs to stop the bleeding in the 3rd Qtr and both 1st halfs have been close.
    **( Game 2 - 3rd Qtr N.O. - 36 , S.A. - 18 )

I'm not counting S.A. out until N.O. wins 4 games. ! I respect the Spurs to much to think this series is almost over.

For those who haven't had a chance to watch Chris Paul play before this series, this 23 yr old kid has been putting on this same show all year long.

    See ya Thursday

I was wondering when this thread would get started. I love how old and slow the spurs look trying to defend him and better yet I love to see Duncan showing his real self what a cry baby. Well so much for Bowen putting cp3 in check.

Got a question because I don't watch much bb at all. If N.O. dismantles S.A. in 4-5 games, and they all are good old butt whoopings does S.A. need to be completely torn down and rebuilt? That is what we are hearing with the Mavs. (which I agree with for the little I know) Or does it mean that Dallas and S.A. were decent teams and that N.O. was just that far superior. There are occasionally teams in sprots that are so dominate that anyone they are up against blook like crap. This could be one of those times, couldn't it? Maybe Dallas isn't that bad rather N.O. is that good. Like I said I don't watch bb much so I could be way off base.

Paul did nothing in the first game. It was West that killed them. That and giving up too many second chance points.

The Spurs shooting has gone ice cold and without that, they are going to have big problems beating anyone. At least two of the big three need to have a good game together for them to win. It has not happened yet.

I think the Spurs will only have 3 guaranteed contracts at the start of next year - Duncan, Parker and Manu. They will bring in free agents to fill roles and just reload around them. Pop, the organization only bring in people that will fit the roles and accept that. Dallas seems to just bring in people they think are the best at that position without thinking about chemistry.

West is the most under rated post player in the leage right now. Nobody really knew about the young tallent that N.O. has till know...

NO has held serve and with flare.

These series are long, although admittedly our spurs look worn down from shaq and his boys.

I'm so sick of seeing 3's heaved from H#$& and back that it makes me want to throw up! I know they are loading up on Timmy, but the slashing to the basket has all but dried up. Manu and Tony need to attack the rim...and for goodness sake play some SA-Defense! Did I see a zone thrown out there by SA? It looks surreal for the Spurs to be doing that!

I do love how Pop will sit his stars when they are playing like turds and make them watch what he is having to watch...except when the scrubs play better team ball than the starters did.

Looks to me like it could be a short series if SA doesn't get into some jocks and get back to attacking the rim!!

                  Go Spurs!!!

I just can't understand how the Spurs can at least hang with NO during the first half and then fall apart during the second. So much for being a 'veteran' team. This truly is the case where both teams have amazing talent, but only one is young. The series is done for as the Spurs have no answer for this team.

I have a lot of respect for NO and after they beat the Spurs I hope they make it to the finals to match up against the Celtics.

A seven game series hasn't started until a road team wins....

Hold on now. Not so fast my friend. New Orleans are not world beaters just yet. The Spurs never do anything the easy way. We shall see what happens in SA.

If the Spurs loose they will in no way be done or break up the big 3. Unfortunately they never win back to back titles. They will be in the mix again in 08-09.

It doesn't look good but the series is far from over.

Not a HUGE basketball fan but since it is New Orleans i gotta go with the homeboys! Saw the first half but then started looking at my Africa DVD's. Glad they won and looked good doing it but there are more games to be played. Good stuff for sure!
