Yeah, Spurs have not looked great but this series isn't over. Spurs have been very flat shooting and NO can pack the lane. Peja got insanely hot in the third and blew that game out...but he can also go cold and still keeps chunking up shots.

Spurs don't need to blow the team up like Dallas does...they have expiring contracts to fill the roster with role players and 3 previous draft picks coming up in the system (a D league MVP and 2 eurostars). Unlike Dallas, they aren't stuck in cap hell.

I knew the day the series started there was trouble. Byron Scott had a handfull of NBA championship rings laid out on the table with his team gawking at them. He said...."These are what they have. These are what you want." I think Scott pushed the right button...N.O. is playing like champions. I have a lot of respect for Scott....heckuva coach and was a stellar player.

The Spurs are getting done to them what they used to do to the other teams....getting worn down late in the game by a tenacious defense. That just means age is catching up with them.

I want to think the Spurs have a chance provided they win in SA....but realistically it looks like they are outclassed. But.....I thought the Celtics would sweep the Hawks!

GUYS dont count San Antonio out --Pop will get into his bag of tricks for game 3. Cant take a thing away from N.O--they kicked mavs ***--Chris Paul is something to watch--N.O has the fresh legs late in the game to carry them on---------GO SPURS

Don't get me wrong, the Hornets are playing well and the Spurs are playing bad.........

But I hate when people say, "They are old" The Spurs won 50 something games this year, they were 1 win short of being the #1 seed in the West, it's just like all these media jack*****'s that said the 2007 Patriots lost to the Giants because they were "old"........They handled a great Phoenix Suns team in round 1.......The Spurs are veterans but by no means old, I mean Geez, they won the World Championship last year, were they "old" then?.........Give me a break, they may be getting out played, but their age is no factor in this.........

BTW, it's a long way from over, good luck to both teams.

i give it to new orleans for playin hard and not quiting....

im not sure if i have realized this before but the hornets just might be one of the dirty'est teams in the nba..starting with paul..love his talent but all those thrown elbows and clearout no calls are getting old...i first noticed against one of the dallas games when he was drivin in on jason terry and swang a elbow on him for good defense...and now here he goes with bowen....
within these first two games, that the spurs lost horribly,i have seen the worst/most no calls...

and that better change once we come back to san anto

david west has thrown an elbow almost every drive this series and practically no calls have been made....even though he had 5 fouls he should have easily been fouled out...

another thing to add is that there were lots of tic-e-tac fouls called on the spurs and every time they started a run it got shut down by either poor offense or a no call...;/

                          now about the spurs...

one of the main problems with them so far is that the "big 3"

have been having really really bad offensive and defensive games ..they must come to san antonio and expect to score a comobined 80 or more points or they can call it quits and go fishing along with the mavs and rockets...

well i hope i see some major changes on thursday...

and oh yeah bowen shut down paul the first game...he only had 12 points

oh yeah when they interviewed david west on game 1 he was talking about byron scotts rings and how he wants to be a winner just like him but the funny part is that if it werent for magic byron wouldnt be dirt....

nicely said when the hornets have four rings..give me a call....

ill make sure i dont change my number in the next 40 years

I don't like to whine and I am not....but it has been known for years that the league hates having the Spurs in the finals. Would they rather see the Spurs or the Hornets face THEIR Lakers? Paul is also one of the leagues new stars and everyone thinks the Champs are boring. Kobe v. Chris Paul is what they want. Just some food for thought.
