    Garden updates??

    Okay TBH farmers,

    How's the vegetables looking?

The growing is still happening, but not fast enough for me. I might get four strawberries in about a month.

Timm, mine's having a real slow start of it. But, I've got sprouts on every mound and the beans really like my dirt.

I was just wondering the same thing. My transplants didn't go well, but I replanted seeds and everything is coming up. It's just too slow for me as well. Everything is looking good though. Got some buds, but everything is still pretty small.

Good luck to the rest of you. I find in a busy world & dealing with the scum of society sometimes, my garden is the only thing that gives me some peace and quiet.

We've been eating asparagus for a few weeks now and got our first strawberries this morning. Everything else seems to be growing pretty slow with the unseasonably cool weather.

A little helpful hint that I discovered for those who have problems with cabbage worms... put up some bluebird houses around your garden. I've noticed that the birds fly down to pick bugs off the garden and then feed them to their babies. I haven't had to use any bug spray or other means to control them since I put up the birdhouses.

My transplants are looking good, about a week after I put them in the ground.
Yellow tomatoes, red tomatoes, jalapenos, red habaneros, and chili pequins.
I'll get a pic up later. I'm hoping for a bountiful crop this year...

My tiny slice of ag production is looking great.

No pictures, but I am PUMPED with my chili petin plants. I started several from seed and have 6 great plants in big pots. They are setting fruit now.

Lots of flowers on both the tomatoes and japs. A few tomatoes set on my Heat Wave plants. Cantaloupe vines seem to be taking their own sweet time.

BrianL- a net isn't necessary around here. I have a husband who's always testing out some new air rifle. Anybody have any ideas how to catch peacocks so I can sell them before they get into the garden? They've already learned what that big white net is when they see me comin out of the barn with it. I used to have guinea fowl too but they started pecking at tomatoes. One day while I was in the bathroom I heard eight shots in rapid sequence. When I came out there were guineas flopping everywhere. They failed Matt Napper's school for bad birds...

I'm jealous of y'alls gardens! You're weeks ahead of us up here.
