I love 'em. Killed a bunch of them (bulls, cows, and calves) the last two years. I even like it more when my son does all the work! This was a good one and it was before we had the electric hoists put in.

I've cleaned 3 and don't care to clean another one.

Without proper tools and facilities, they are a nightmare. However, we had to kill so many that we finally got it down. We stole lots of ideas from King Ranch folks. #1 is have a saws all on board every truck for the field dressing process. #2 is have each truck equipped with heavy duty winch. #3 is have electric winch at cleaning station. #4 is have a trolly system at the cleaning station and finally and most importantly, is #5 have several young flat belly 20 something young fellars around to do all the work while you give orders and drink a whiskey! Case in point is picture below. Two young bucks doing work while I take pictures and give orders.

                          Great looking bulls guys!

A free range with my bow is near the top of my list of "want to" hunts. I think it would be a rewarding hunt with a real sense of accomplishment.

Back to the top!!! I'll hopefully be hunting them tomorrow on my lease. Got a smaller bull and a couple cows on camera last week so hopefully there will be some nilgai on the ground this weekend!!

Once you start eating them you may throw away all the WT meat.

I still say whitetail is my favorite because of the passion I have for them but nilgai is like a split hair behind them. Hard to believe such a rugged beast of an animal can taste so good.
