    # of arrows you shoot when practicing

I shoot my bow on a daily basis in my back yard. I tell myself that I'll shoot 5 rounds of 3 arrows each, but as it goes, I keep telling myself that I can shoot better than the round before. My arrows start out touching, yet I wind up telling myself "just one more round", til they get worse and worse and I eventually tire out.

Anyone else OCD like that? It's frustrating, but I was just wondering if its just me.

It always depended on how well I was shooting, and how many beers I had! (Never very good at practicing)

For me, three is what I shoot to develop and mark a pattern. I'm so old, I forget otherwise.

If I'm having a bad day shooting, I don't make it worse by continuing.
I'll hang it up, knowing that tomorrow will be better

I shoot a dozen arrows in my practice reps. On the weekends...I'll shoot that dozen several times a day.

Usually about six. If I really feel like shooting I'll keep going until I start to feel slightly fatigued. Always stop there.

Yeah. I should probably quit when I'm ahead. My form starts out great, but as it drags on I start to notice a few things slipping off.

My thought is that after I'm tired, cold, and hungry, that I had better be able to make the shot when it matters. Maybe I'm wrong on thinking that way, but I sort of feel like that imitates a hunting situation.

I shoot anywhere from 40 - 100 per session, but my sessions are usually anywhere from a couple of days apart to a couple of weeks apart to maybe a month apart

I can't shoot in my yard, crabby neighbors, so I have to travel to shoot. I usually shoot 30 or so arrows. I have had many days where I have shot well over 100. You can surprise yourself how well you can still do after you are getting tired, plus when you keep on going you build up your stamina for longer holds at full draw.

I shoot about 6 arrows. First one of the day goes in my 3d deer. The rest go into the block.

2-20 4-30 4-40 2-50..... Il never shoot over 30 but when I practice out that far it sure makes 20 seem easier
