    TCLEOSE Intermediate Peace Officer Certification

I'm two classes away from obtaining my intermediate license. I have the years and hours. Tomorrow I will complete the last two required courses needed.

My question is, after I complete the courses how do I get my intermediate? Do they send it to me automatically or do I have to apply for it? Do I do it or does my department?

    Thanks!

The classes will be reported to tcleose. Tcleose will then credit the classes towards your intermediate and once all criteria is met, a tcleose rep will issue ur license. Im doing the exact same thing right now. 1 2-day class left and im taking it tomorrow-wednesday.

I also need to get on mine. I've got all the quals except for a class or two, just have to get them all reported properly. The previous Fire Marshal, well, actually two Fire Marshal's ago, was not a paperwork kinda guy, and never filed any of the paperwork. Being a new officer, and a new employee, I didn't know what needed to be done, nor did I want to push it since he was a bit cranky at times. Now that I'm established, I'd like to get my intermediate so that I can stop taking all the required courses and just worry about legal updates and 40 hours. Racial Profiling, Cultural Diversity and CIT Update are getting old fast.

Special Investigative Topics is DRY unless you have a good instructor. Identity Crimes is one of the ones I need to get.

Ya. I have S.I.T. in Kyle from 8-5 and Id.C. in San Antonio from 6-10. Both places are 50 miles apart. I will be, better be, getting out early!

I know a few years ago they automatically send them to your department but I heard now you have to pay for it. From intermediate on up. I'm an advanced and am getting close to masters and I know you have apply for that. Most agencies pay for whatever level you are so get it because you are losing money.

They automatically mailed mine to me. However, it took quite some time. As a matter of fact, I received my intermediate & advanced in the mail on the same day.

Is that because you you had the time and hours once you had the required courses at same time?
