I've heard it both ways from the 'experts'. But I tend to believe those who say you can't really spray anything to kill a scorpion that won't ultimately affect you.
At my Hebbronville ranch, I stopped spraying inside cause of inconsistent results. What I do now is put those CatchMaster sticky pads in every room, then change them out every few months (I live in Baton Rouge so I can't get to south Texas often enough). I usually have about 10 dead ones, and every so often kill about 2 a week on the floor.
I've also tried the TomCat sticky pad next to the CatchMaster, but the CatchMaster always captures them, so I'm sticking with CatchMaster.
One main reason I like the sticky pads, is that once they get stuck, they can't reproduce. If you spray, there's a strong likely-hood they won't die, and subsequently, reproduce. In the last 5 years, I've yet to have any on the beds, nor has anyone been stung inside.
That's my 2 cents...
