I have been at the ranch in Hye since Thurs morning. Wife came up last night. Had a scorpion crawling up the bedroom wall as we got ready to lay down. I swatted it with her house show and heard it crunch, then it fell to the carpeted floor next to the headboard. I got a flashlight so I could pick it up, but I never could find it!

After 15 min of looking we went back to sleep (with 1 eye open). About 4:45 she screamed and flew out of bed and turned the light on looking under sheets frantically. I found what she was looking at and it was a grasshopper the size of a dime. That was funny to me at the time, but not to her, until this morning.

We went to Marble Falls this morning bought some Demon. It said to mix 2 pouches for 1 gal water. I said nope and mixed 2 pouches with 1/2 gal water. I had been thinking about spraying inside and outside of the cabin, but decided to only spray the inside. Didn't want to push the scorpions inside by spraying the outside. I just sprayed a heavy stream against all of the walls and in any type small openings.

Not really sure what to expect from the demon, but I've heard that it was the best.

Do the scorpions just disappear, or will I start finding some dead ones? Does it start working quickly?

Also found this on the bottom of the 6' platform that I just set up 2 weeks ago to put my Krivoman blind on top of.

Scorpions & Spiders are both extremely bad this month compared to previous couple years. No snakes so far but in watching my step.

I used it out at my place in Mountain Home for about 4 years. We saw a bunch of dead ones early on and then pretty much quit seeing them after about the 2nd or 3rd treatment. I've only sprayed it once outside about a month ago at our new place in Florence, so we're seeing dead ones all over the place right now. I haven't done the attic yet and I think that's where most are coming from, so that's on the agenda for next week. It works well.

I can kill 15 to 20 EVER night around my house. Me and the grandkids take the black light and go hunting. The most i've killed in one night is 68

Where's a good place to buy a hand held black light? Or can I just buy a black light bulb for an existing flashlight at Wally World or Target?

I killed 20 the other night. Found two adult scorpions on my sidewalk fighting. One was a momma with 18 little ones on her back. One spray from the Spectracide and I declared myself the winner. I can kill two or three a night. Found one on the living room wall this morning when I got up.

Killed two at Scott's and left one in the bathroom sink there (another story). Killed two here and two reported seen in the Pookie!! Dude!!
I can confirm there are none in this comfy bed in our hotel in Baton Rouge. Please kill 'em all before we get up there (fingers crossed) in a few weeks.

If they are in the sinks or shower stalls it may be that the pea trap is dry and they can get past it and into the sink. My plumber told me that if I'm not going to the cabin for a while then put some mineral oil down the drains, it won't evaporate and will flush out and down the drain with some water when you get back. Then the scorpions won't be able to get past the pea trap and into the sink
                        Good luck

They seem to be bad everywhere this year. We have killed several this year around my house and my son has killed a bunch around his as well.

I've killed about 10 of them this year, PetSmart has a decent handheld blacklight in the petstain removal area.

                            My soil is very sandy

I am going to get some of the demon spray and go to town on them!!

                              Funny story with the grasshopper!

I had the sheet rub me the wrong way last night and jumped up in bed as did the wife and when she asked what was it I had to tell her it was just the sheets...a little embarrassing.

We use Cy-Kick inside and outside. Every time we show up we find several dead inside. This last time we picked up over 20 dead ones (been about a month since we were there and sprayed) use the stuff each time we go out there. Safe for pets and kids. Haven't had a live one in the cabin in years.
