Just let it be. Momma will keep coming back until it's strong enough to clear the fence. As was stated, she more than likely did it for the safety of the fawn

The deer sounds fine, I would just leave it alone. It is protected inside the yard from predators and dogs.

The doe is smarter than you think. She knows what is best, it'll be just fine.

I'm still laughing about minding your own business though not at OP, just the SA that said it.

We had a doe hide her fawn behind a large potted plant on the back porch this year.

Scared the crud out of Diane when she watered the plant and the fawn took off.

If no pets, how about leaving the gate open for a while? If momma wants her out she will lead her out.

This. Don't move the fawn. Momma must move it.

we need the season to start. I actually agree with the SA and still don't need to be mad at the OP.

happens all the time....in fact, it happens so often I think they do it on purpose.

just go put it on the out side of the fence where the moma comes to jump the fence. you can touch them and the moma will take them back. i did it this morning and we do it quite often.
