yep, that is the ticket. video required tho!

since they don't seem to congregate, it is difficult to kill a bunch at a time. They gotta eat something, so if you treat that without killing too many other helpful critters.

Try tempo. It worked very well for us. You will want to wear a respirator when you spray it. It will even kill termites. Lasts about two weeks to thirty days.

Cykick. You can only get it on the internet. It kills everything.

We rigged up a PVC deal for blasting Sevin dust into a hole with a air compressor. Take a long piece of PVC that'll fit in the hole. Connect an air hose to one end. Put a bunch of Sevin in the PVC, shove in hole and turn compressor on. Repeat as needed. ONLY do this at night. Next morning, EARLY, fill ALL holes with expanding foam. Worked good for us.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I don't think all of tbh has enough arrows for bow on bees war. Cold beer and a tennis racket has been fun but getting old now. It's time to kill them and be done before I'm building a new barn from the ground up.

I have the same problem and it was coincidental to see your post. I sprayed some stuff from Home Depot along the baseboards, exterior wall, ground etc. but it didn't do anything. I just ordered some Maxforce Carpenter Ant gels and will try that. If that fails, I will order some Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait (GOURLIQUID) from epestsupply.com. Those buggers have to die. They are coming in my office while I work and it's really irritating.

Once that was done to either paint or water seal all bare wood, they wont nest in wood that has a coating. we treated every hole we could find and wood filled them and then sprayed the entire deck with bear water seal(natural color) and havent had a problem since.
The ones at my house didn't read those rules

My rafters are exposed under the eaves and painted and they still drill into them. Latex house paint

Boogie and I swatted with rackets forever, he thought that was a better alterative than my idea to use the shotgun!
