    Best Snake Boot

I know Basspro Shop has the Danner snake boot on sale for $99, and Cabela's has the Chippewa on sale for $159, ignoring the cost difference, which boot would you select and why

    thanks

Well, neither. I'd buy the Redhead side zip snake boot. I've had a pair for years and it's the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever had. I wear it even when I'm not worried about snakes. I even bought another pair when they were on sale a couple years ago and just leave a pair at each ranch.

i second doc on the redheads. i have the lace ups though. 100 bucks at bass pro. and no break in needed i am in rough country alot and am never uncomfortable. and they are 600 gram insulated. they are a pain to put on and off though. 16 inches tall and a whole lotta laces.

I agree with TD but between those two, I would go with the chip pull ons. Tying snake boots is for the BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!

Amen on the "tying snakeboots". I've had two pair of lace ups and even with the military lace technique, they're a pain to lace and a pain to get on and off, especially compared to the zip ups.

I have a pair of both boots and I perfer the Chippewa by far, hands down they are extremely comfortable...and a lot lighter than those danners.

Justin. Mine are the best boots I have ever owned. Going on their sixth season. Made in Texas.
