As for 9MM: When it comes to size, weight and grip size - I haven't seen anything better/smaller/lighter than a PM9.

Glock 36,(single stack), has smaller grip and is compact. My wife has small hands and carries and shoots this one great! I carry the same one for C.C.
it is really hard to beat. I highly recommend it.

Not sure which one but the S&W at Academy is 330.00. Small but slightly bigger than the Kel tec.

Kahr CW9.....my co worker had one the other night and I really liked that gun. Really thin grip and fairly lightweight. The ONLY downside is capacity, as I think its limited to around 8 rounds in 9mm but thats how they got the grip so thin. Its a striker fire pistol like a Glock and the trigger felt excellent to me. No safety to fumble with and I've only seen excellent reviews on Kahr pistols.

I have a diamond back looks and feels like a baby glock, trigger has a long engagement
other than the trigger I like the way it shoots ahvent had it long but so far so good still
wouldnt trade it for my p238 or wifes lcp.

Can't believe that I'm the first person to suggest checking out the Springfield XDS 9.

Slim frame, options for regular of extended magazines, great safety system, and lights out reliable.

Might want to put it on the list, but they are hard to find. A friend of mine waited about 6-8 weeks to get his.

Ann can come by and try my Ruger LCP and my Glock 36. It is a single stack so the grip is not too big.
Rachel went to Academy and fell in live with the Sig Saur nightmare. I guess I gotta start saving my cash again.

My experience in the subcompact guns so far has been that Kahr rules that niche. There is not a better all around package in a tiny 9mm pistol than the PM9/CM9 depending on what price point you are trying to hit.

The shield seems like a good weapon and the trigger is way better than the standard M&P pistols so I don't think a trigger job would be needed on it, but it is larger than I thought. I've held the XDs but not shot it and didn't like the way it felt and I've had mixed reliability in their full size guns. I personally would not carry a Sig 938 unless it was in a waistband holster, and if I'm going to do that I'm carrying a bigger pistol with more capacity, etc. I have no personal experience with a PPQ but the one I did handle, I didn't see all the hoopla about the trigger, I thought it was quite gritty to me.
