The trip to Beaver Creek was nice but fishing was only fair. I am trying to struggle through work today as I fly out tomorrow for NWT. Have one bag packed and most of my gear ready. I hope I can survive the mountains. Way heavier than I planned on being for this hunt and definitely not as well prepared from a conditioning standpoint as my mountain goat hunt. I guess you go and make the most of it. Fly out at 1050 tomorrow. Overnight in Edmonton then on to Norman Wells, NWT the next day. From there, take a small plane to main camp and then helicopter into the mountains. 10 days of backpack hunting from there with tags for dall sheep, mountain carribou, wolverine, and a fishing license. I cannot imagine I will be able to post but I will update on the way up there and give a full report when I get back. Should be a good adventure in truly wild country. Say a little prayer for an overweight forty year old's legs if you get a chance!
