try the title company or lender....but they don't always keep files that far back.

I would get a new survey....if its 10 years old its gonna have to be recertified anyway more than likely

Almost guaranteed that you're gonna need a new survey to sell the property.

In my line of work I deal a lot with Country Appraisal Districts. It is best to go in there and do a free search online for the survey

most of the land we have bought it was usually an option whether the buyer would accept the old survey or they would want a new one...not sure if that's the case now or if the lender requires a new survey?

You will need a new survey for sure if they are going to use a lender. Lenders usually don't like to use a survey thats older than 3 years.

The apprisal district office does not have it, its at the tax office. And there is a survey there most likely with a map also. It has meets and bounds and starting points and all

If it is in Williamson county the Appraisal district maps will have the most recent plat but will not have a survey. You might find one at the county clerks office but I doubt it. If you are selling you can sell it by acres more or less. If the buyer wants a survey let them pay for it. The tax records will show how many acres you are paying taxes on currently. Nearly all lenders will require a new survey. JMHO
