Chicken Express with their sweet tea and corn nuggets all day long!
The owner of the one in Huntsville told me their chicken is marinated for either 24 or 48 hours "forgot which one" to give it that special flavor and tenderness.

Catfish and fried pickles aren't bad either.

One of very few places that still sell fried livers

Cane's was great when they were jus in La. Once they franchised into Texas they started sucking. Been to a few here in Houston and they were pretty bad. Chicken Express gets my business now.

You're probably right. As I love eating fried chicken, and the line was around the building for the past two days at this place, I had the expectancy that it would be awesome. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me, my wife, or my son.

No big deal I guess. Just really disappointed. I've been waiting for these two new restaurants to open. They built Canes and something called "Del Taco" next door. Del Taco hasn't opened yet.

Bushes is across the street. I've eaten there too. Not my favorite, but at least their chicken wasn't dry.

Some mentioned the price. Yeah. Fairly expensive for what you get. I was more disappointed in the quality of the food though.

                All the best,
                Glenn

zaxby's is by far the best!

Not many have made it over to Texas yet, one just opened up in Spring and I think one is in Klien too!

Cane's is not my first choice.

I'm hoping that Chicken E expands into San Antonio proper.

laynes in college station! visually the same exact food (minus the tater salad/cole slaw debacle) as Cane's, but Laynes is far superior!

I agree with the bad reviews. That place sucks!! It kinda reminds me of when all these "In and Out" burger joins opened. Went and was mad I didn't go to Whataburger

The first time I ever ate Canes was in Shreveport and it was awesome! They built one a while back here in Cypress and I was all sorts of excited..... and it SUCKS! They definitely differ by location.
