Went to "Raising Cane's" in San Antonio (Culebra) tonight, as they had their grand opening yesterday. I had to see what all the ruckus was about. I wasn't impressed.
Their "secret sauce" was supposed to have some "kick" to it. Really? Tastes just like mayo and ketchup with some pepper dashed in. No kick at all. "Crinkle Fries" got me excited. They smelled good. They weren't crispy at all, and were bland. The chicken fingers (only thing on the menu, really), had no flavor whatsoever. Very bland. Chewy. Slightly overcooked actually. All in all, I was very disappointed, and will not be going back.
I like my chicken with some flavor, and was looking forward to a new restaurant close to home. I'd rather drive to the Church's on 1604 and Marbach or Popeyes on Potranco off of 151. Longer drives, but much better chicken. I need to find something else to snack on tonight so I can get this yech out of my mouth.
All the best,
Glenn
